Nigerian Army to partner with Hunters towards ending insurgency.

Nigerian Army said it will collaborate with Vigilante/Hunters Association in Borno State to end the insurgency in the North East.

The Acting General Officer Commanding 7 Division, Brig. Gen. Abdulmalik  Biu made this known in Maiduguri during a meeting with  members of the association led by  its Chairman, Maigana Maidarma.

A statement by the Director of Army Public Relations, Brig. Gen. Texas Chukwu said General Biu had at the meeting commended the hunters for their familiarity to the terrain.

He urged them to proffer solutions that would help in effectively checkmating the menace of Boko Haram terrorists.

Chairman of the hunters, Maidarma, assured the Acting GOC of their support and promised to leverage on the association’s knowledge of the Sambisa forest towards assisting the Army in its operations.
